Custom AI literacy training for leaders and teams who (might) want to use AI thoughtfully, effectively, and ethically.

I meet people where they are. You or your team might be excited, anxious, confused, or skeptical about AI. I create space for questions, honest concerns, and practical exploration.
I focus on augmentation. AI works best when it enhances human judgment, creativity, and connection; I help explore with you if and how.
I bring a critical perspective. I help teams think critically about when to use AI and when not to. I talk openly about risks and potential harm, while working with you to identify reasonable opportunities.
I’m an excellent facilitator. I’ve trained over 100 groups and earned a reputation for being engaging, warm, and effective (even with the most skeptical audiences).
Everything is customized. Every program is designed around you and your organization’s specific context, needs, and goals.
Meet Dr. Erin Aspenlieder
Since 2023 I have partnered with organizations across Canada to understand how AI is changing how we learn, work and live, and how to decide when and if to use it.
Leaders and teams need supportive training that begins by recognizing we each come to AI with different questions, concerns and curiosities. I have worked across sectors to design and deliver customized training that addresses the unique goals of the organization or group.
Importantly, I am not a computer scientist. Instead, I have a PhD in English and Cultural Studies, and I spent 15 years as an educational developer in post-secondary education. My background means I come to this work as an educator and critical thinker who deeply understands how adults learn. That means I know how to take complex, technical concepts and make them accessible, and I know how to create spaces for curiosity and exploration.
I work from a framework I call relational learning: the idea that AI works best when it deepens our connection to our own thinking, our colleagues, and our communities. My training focuses on building awareness of what AI can and can’t do, developing critical judgment about when to use it (and when not to), and practicing hands-on skills that people can apply immediately.

Available as 1-hour sessions, half-day workshops, or multi-session programs (online or in-person across Canada).
Coaching for Leaders
Confidential 1-on-1 coaching for leaders who want to understand AI without pressure or jargon. For those who feel like they should know more about AI – or know the right questions to ask – these individual or small group sessions offer a supported space to learn at your own pace.
AI Policy & Strategy Consulting
From blank-page policy development to refining existing guidelines to implementation support, I help organizations create thoughtful AI policies that actually work in practice.
