How we can work together

Every engagement is built around your context, whether that means one conversation, one session, or a program that unfolds over months.

Custom AI Literacy Training

Hands-on workshops that build awareness before adoption. Your team learns what AI actually does, where it helps, and where it doesn't, through activities designed for your real work. Offered as single sessions, half-day workshops, full training days, or multi-session programs.

Coaching for Leaders

Confidential one-on-one or small group coaching for leaders who want to understand AI without pressure or jargon. A supported space to ask honest questions, learn at your own pace, and develop an informed perspective you can stand behind.

AI Policy & Strategy Consulting

Thoughtful policy and strategy work for municipalities, libraries, and post-secondary institutions. From blank-page policy development to refining existing guidelines to operational plans your staff can actually follow.

Keynote Speaking

Engaging, research-informed talks on critical AI literacy, learning, and what these tools mean for how we work together. Available for conferences, PD days, and events across Canada in person and internationally by video.

What People Say

From uncertainty to clarity

Reactions from people who came with questions, curiosity, or hesitation.

Erin's presentation was hands-down the most accessible, most relevant, most engaging and most informative professional development received by myself at OCL. I have no questions for her, because I don't know what I don't know. Tabula rasa. I look forward to the next session. (A first!)
Library staff, Oxford County Library
Very well-prepared and personalized to my needs. I appreciated the thoughtful responses to my questions and the relevant examples provided. If you are looking for knowledgeable AI training or consulting, I would recommend ErinAI.
Director, Legislative & Legal Services / Town Clerk, City of Milton
This was the most thoughtful and insightful discussion of "The AI Problem" in higher ed that I have encountered, and it's not particularly close.
Innovations in Education conference participant
So good! It reinforced the idea that learning is about being a better human and being in a better relationship with our own minds, bodies, communities and environment.
Library staff, Kitchener Public Library
You do such a good job of being positive about the possibilities of AI. There is so much generalized anxiety about it.
Library Assistant, Youth Services, Guelph Public Library
Thank you for this talk. It was mindblowing and I need some slow time to think my way through everything you've shared.

I'm not here to sell you on AI.
I'm here to help you think clearly about it.

How It Works

A process that starts with listening

Whether you're looking for team training or individual coaching, every engagement begins the same way: with understanding where you are and what you need.

We Connect

Send me a note at erin@erinai.ca. We'll talk about your context, your questions, and what you're hoping to accomplish.

I Design for You

Based on our conversation, I'll design a customized program, whether that's a workshop series for your team, a coaching plan for you, or a keynote for your event.

We Work Together

I deliver training that's engaging, practical, and immediately applicable. You leave with real skills, clearer thinking, and the confidence to move forward.

About

Meet Dr. Erin Aspenlieder

Since 2023, I've partnered with organizations across Canada, more than a hundred groups so far, to understand how AI is changing how we learn, work, and live, and how to decide when and if to use it.

I am not a computer scientist. I have a PhD in English and Cultural Studies, and I spent 15 years as an educational developer in post-secondary education. I come to this work as an educator, which means I care as much about how people learn as I do about what the technology can do.

The best learning happens in relationship. When I work with a team, I want to know what they're worried about, what they're hoping for, and what their days actually look like. That's where meaningful training starts: with the people in the room, their questions, and the trust we build together.

My training builds awareness of what AI can and can't do, develops critical judgment about when to use it and when to set it aside, and offers hands-on practice that people can apply the same day.

And yes, I use AI in my own work. It helps me build the interactive demos I bring to sessions, gather research, and think through drafts. The judgment calls, the writing in my own voice, and the relationships stay mine. Every practice I recommend is one I've tested on myself first.
